Hwange National Park

“Home of the Big Five”

This is the largest park in Zimbabwe occupying approximately 14650 square kilometres in the northwest corner of the country about an hour south of the Victoria Falls. Hwange provides some of Africa’s best wildlife viewing opportunities and boasts of a tremendous selection of wildlife with over 100 mammal species and nearly 400 bird species. It is Zimbabwe’s most wildlife – packed national park. The best time to visit the park is in the dry season (August – October) when animals concentrate around waterholes.
