ZimParks have given Jah Signal a nationwide tour to celebrate his birthday.

Speaking on NASH TV last Saturday, ZimParks said they have worked with Jah Signal for a long time and as a result of his commitment to their anti-poaching theme as an artiste they found him deserving of the tour.

The tour, which is starting tomorrow, will cater for everything for the chanter and he will be traveling to places which include Victoria Falls, Hwange, Bulawayo, Masvingo, Kariba and also Nyanga.

In an interview with H-Metro Brian Moyo, the marketing executive of ZimParks called the honour a unique present.

“We gave Jah Signal this gift today (Saturday) because we have worked together in good terms which we must admit.

“We have given him this as a unique present since we have worked with him on various programmes.

“It’s an uninterrupted access to all our national parks as part of promoting domestic tourism.

“So all of our international parks Jah Signal will have access to them because at least he encourages people to visit our parks to promote domestic tourism,” Tinashe Farawo the ZimParks spokesperson.

He added: “He will visit Hwange National Park, Victoria Falls Park, Matopo National Parks, Mana Pools and all our other parks.

“So we have chosen Jah Signal as our local celebrity to tour around the nation.

“We have never had a problem with Jah Signal.

“We feel he deserves it that is why we decided to give him such a birthday present.

“He deserves more actually.

“He has done so many jingles for us as well and they have always helped out to spread a word without fail out there.

“If anything we also thank his management Hillary Mutake for working with others nicely as well.”

The chanter could not hide his elation.

“I am very grateful to be honest.

“This is my first time to ever receive something like this.

“I’m touched, I feel honoured.

“I’ve always wanted to visit places like this but you know sometimes you just won’t have everything in one place.

“I’m honored, may God bless you a lot ZimParks.

“I can’t wait to go on such a tour, I’m going to have fun I believe.

“I would also want to thank everyone who participated on my birthday this time around.

“It’s not only ZimParks but a lot of people too.

“I will not be able to mention names because I’m afraid I might forget to mention the other names and that will not be nice,” he said.

Jah Signal went on to thank everyone who showed up on his big day.

“All the artistes who came today, all the bosses, presenters and even the team behind the scenes.

“Without all of you nothing really makes sense”

“A very big thank you to Nash TV as well, he added.

Similar sentiments were echoed by Jah Signal’s manager Hillary “Punchline” Mutake.

“A very big thank you to ZimParks and to everyone who made Jah Signal’s day special.

“A very big thank you to ZimParks.

“You know this is the first time in history to record a birthday gift like this in the music industry.

“Thank you a lot ZimParks,” he said.
